Foundational Stage (Ages 3–8)
The Foundational Stage, for children aged 3-8, is an integrated, play-based approach to early childhood education and care under India's NEP 2020. Its focus is on nurturing young children through a holistic approach that emphasizes play, exploration, critical thinking, and the development of numeracy, language, motor, problem-solving, and social-emotional skills. Key elements include creating a nurturing environment, using play-based pedagogies, incorporating resources like "Jadui Pitara", promoting parent involvement, and employing a holistic progress card for assessment.
