School Rules & Code of Conduct
General School Rules
- The students are supposed to reach the school 5 minutes before the school starts. School gate will be closed sharp at the time when the 1st bell rings & entry of the students will be restricted after that.
- Students should be very neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days.
- Half Day / Short leave will not be given on any ground due to safety reasons. Parents are directed not to send their wards if they are ill or their wards are required for any work at home.
- The school reserves the right, to terminate the schooling of students for unsatisfactory progress in studies or whose conduct is a bad percept for others.
- Every child should take proper care of the school property. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the Class Teacher/Principal & damage cost will be realized by the student.
- Expensive thing are not to be brought to the school by the students.
- Students suffering from any contagious disease will not be allowed to continue classes until he /she recovers from it and submits the medical certificate from a doctor.
- Two wheelers, bicycles must be properly locked and kept in the cycle stand. School will not be responsible for the vehicles/bicycle kept outside the school premises.
- Every student should carry his/her school diary to the school every day.
- The students should bring tiffin, napkin and handkerchief daily.
- Visiting hours for meeting the Principal - 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. Parents are requested to meet the Principal as per their requirements only during the stipulated time.
- Every student will go home only by school transport/authorized transport or with the authorized escort of their own. Regarding authorization of the escort. Parents are requested to submit a written authorization letter. The school should be informed immediately in writing about the change of authorized escort.
- Parents must bring ID proof in case of visiting school.
- For safety and security, parents should refrain from sending money with their child without specific written notice from school.
- Pay all the fees for your word on time else name of your ward may be struck off from school roll due to non payment of fee.
- Parents must attend PTM organized by the school.
- Parents must not interfere in school's policies, however written suggestions can be given when & where it is required.
- Parents must not misbehave with the school staff & all kind of mattes must be solved with dignity & silence.
- Parents will not enter the bus & will not interfere in any matter/problems of the bus. They have to inform the school authorities for necessary action.
- Activities likes bullying, abusing, fighting teasing cyber bullying are punishable and students will be rusticated in all such cases.
- No Half Day Leave will be given to the student in the test days.
- In case of emergency, parents should submit, written application request along with the photocopy of ID proof. For taking their wards during school hours. Escort card is very much mandatory.
- Accidents caused by non licensed students will not be the responsibility of the school, Parents can give two wheelers to their ward only at their risk. However it is strictly suggested by the school that all the students must either avail bus facility or must come with parent escort to school.
Code of Conduct for Students
- Students must be attentive, punctual, obedient, humble, regular & disciplined in the school.
- Students must wear, neat & clean, well ironed & proper uniform everyday with proper haircut.
- Usage of abusive language and slangs must be discouraged and strict action will be taken if the same is continued.
- Cyber Bullying, Fighting, leasing etc. Bullying of other student is punishable & students may be suspended in such case.
- Littering is strictly prohibited.
- Be respectful and courteous to fellow students.
- Be knowledgeable about discipline policies, regulation and rules.
- Make every reasonable effort to participate actively the activities of the school.
- The medium of instruction is English and students are expected to communicate in English, at all times.
- It is compulsory to bring the school-issued ID card to school every day, not bringing the ID card result in the child not being allowed in the school premises.
- Punctually is essential at all. Students who contravene this rule without valid reason will be punished as per the rules.
- Boys must not wear any earring. If earrings is worn, by girls, in any case then they must be small hoops or studs. Nose rings, bangles, rings, bracelets, tattoos, mehendi of any kind are not permitted.
- Any student if found guilty of malpractice in connection with examination or has committed an act. of serious indiscipline and/or misbehaviour may be expelled permanently or removed from the school for a specific period by the Principal.
- Complete your class work, Home work, project work & all the academic work on time as expected.
- (a). Care must be taken of all school property and no student should scratch or spoil the desk or
chairs or damage any school furniture or write or draw anything on the walls. Damage done even by
accident, should be reported immediately to the Principal/Vice Principal and the amount to be borne
by the students.
(b) Double the amount will be charged if any damage is deliberately done to the school property
- Don't bring valuable items (eg.-jewellery, electronic items etc.), Mobiles, Cameras other electronic gadgets once confiscated will not be returned at any cost.
Guidelines for Parents/Guardians
- Parents must regularly visit school's website & software to know all the necessary informations of the school's activities. They can also respond or give their feedback through SMS facility, provided by the school.
- Any communication made by the Parent/Guardian should be addressed to the Principal through the Class Teacher and all correspondence from the school to the parents will be made by the Principal.
- Parents are advised not to send valuable articles. School shall not undertake any responsibility for the loss.
- Parents must first consult the school calendar, date sheets and other circular, before making enquiries on the phone.
- Parents must provide the school with correct mobile numbers and also inform about the changes (if any) so that SMS containing important messages like attendance, marks, etc. can be sent to them.
- Parents are requested to inform the school if there is any change in their address & other details.
- Children when sick, should not be sent to school to attend tests/classes.
- Parents are requested not to enter classroom to see their children or teachers during the school hours without prior permission of the Principal.
- The name, admn. no. class section & house of the pupil should be clearly marked on all belongings of child eg. Sweaters etc. School will not be responsible for lost materials.
- Parents should ensure that their wards prepare their lessons well and do their homework regularly.
- Parents should send a intimation to the class teacher, in case of their ward's absenteeism.
- Parents are requested to check student's diary regularly.
- Attendance record of the students will be sent to parent on all working days through SMS. Parents are requested to avoid the absenteeism of their wards.
- Parents are required to co-operate with the school in its attempt to help their children progress by paying attention to their regularity, punctuality and discipline and take interest in their child's work. They should check the almanac every day and note the homework and other instructions given. They are advised to check the bags of their wards to see if any circular/notice/invitation etc. has been issued.
- No student shall indulge in any of the following practices : Celebrating Birthdays, Making Party, Rowdiness and Rude Behaviour, Riding on Vehicle in the Games Field, Bursting of Crackers, Playing Holi in the School Campus, Spoiling Gardens, Lawn, Flowers and plants etc. They should also not use foul language (Unparliamentary language) & misbehave with the conductor or the driver while travelling in the bus. Student will be punished/expelled from the school if found involved, in the above mentioned activities.
- Students are not allowed to bring Mobile phones in school. If any student is found with a Mobile phone, the phone will be retained by the school for a minimum period of 6 months & on repetition of this, he/she will be expelled from the school.
- Late coming students will be returned back home once the gate is closed. No discussion & correspondence will be done in this regard.
- No Half Day Leave will be given to the student even on test days also. In case of emergency if Half Day is required parents have to bring ID proof and escort card along with written application for showing it for authentication.
- Students are not allowed to leave class rooms in every period and bunk classes.
- Students who don't have Driving License must not come to school by bikes or scooter. School will not be held responsible for damage or loss caused due to driving of immature students.
Attendance Policy
- 75% of attendance is required to be eligible for promotion to the next class.
- Prior permission of the Principal is required for availing of leave for personal reasons.
- All students are expected to attend the first day of school after any vacation break. First day's attendance after every vacation is compulsory.
- A student returning to school after suffering an infectious or contagious disease should produce a doctor's fitness certificate permitting him/her to attend school.
Withdrawal Policy
- A clear calendar month's notice in writing or a month's fee in lieu of notice, must be given before the student can be withdrawn. Those who leave school in April must in all cases pay the Annual charges & the tuition fee up to the month of May.
- Transfer Certificate is issued only, when all the dues of the school are settled.
- A student can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds: Disciplinary, unsatisfactory progress in studies and repeated detention in the class.
- A student who fails twice in the same class, will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school, especially if s/he is overage for that class.
- Indiscipline, irregularity in attendance, damage of school property, non- payment of school dues, unauthorised absence from school for more than 10 days are sufficient grounds for issue of compulsory T.C. (Transfer Certificate).
Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM)
- It is compulsory to attend the Parent meeting with class teacher whenever it is conducted.
- Parents meeting with teacher is not to know the faults but it is a forum where the solution are designed for the betterment of child's development.
- All the parents are requested to attend the meeting at 9.00 am in the respective class room or the room allotted to their ward.
- Students will come in school uniform in the PTM.
- Prior information for PTM will be given to the parents.
- Note: Any change in parent teacher meeting schedule will be Intimated through school website Login: www.mjschools.in/webmail, school almanac and SMS well in advance.
Being Effective
- Parents, pupils and teachers should honour each other and appreciate each one's view point. By interaction the best may arrive.
- Have a continuous interaction with the school, the teacher concerned, head mistress and the principal. It helps in the development of your ward.
- Become familiar with the syllabus, the activities, the strength and the weakness of the pupil. Do not compare the pupil with the member of the peer group.
- Avoid late hours study; follow the principle of " early to bed early to rise".
- Organize yourself, set up short and long term goals, set up priorities and review daily, do not leave any backlog.
- At home, have black board and chalk for practice work. This makes you alert and smart. (A clipboard for notes and important formula, brief points and flow diagram on concept subjects,)
- Refer to the dictionary, news paper and additional references more than you can use internet solution and references. This enriches you.
- Keep your parents informed of your performance and happening including short attendance informed monthly in a progressive manner.
Leave Rules
- Leave applied well in advance may be granted for genuine reason. In case of sickness, support of medical certificate is a must.
- The grant of leave will not count for condonation of required attendance.
- Leave will not be granted without proper entry in leave card of students diary duly signed by parents.
- The student may be allowed to leave the school only with the authorized person, the parents have deputed with Identity.
- A student suffering from any contagious disease should be sent to school only after cure.
- Leave can be granted to student only on the following grounds:
- In case of serious illness or death of very near relative.
- For condolence visit, if custom demands he/she should make visit.
- To attend the marriage of his real brother/sister aunt or uncle.
- The granted leave of any kind does not count the presence for qualifying attendance requirement for examination.
